Spring 2021 Chapter News

The chapter celebrating our first in-person initiation since COVID started.

As UND made the decision to begin the spring semester in an almost entirely online format, so did the chapter. As the semester progressed however, the chapter slowly began returning to normal, with in-person meetings and brotherhood events.

Some of the major events that we have seen return this semester were our popular quesadilla feed philanthropy as well as in-person spring rush. With the latter, we welcomed five promising new members into our brotherhood.

Another of the favorite chapter activities that we saw return this semester was the famous Coulee Classic hockey game against our neighbors at Phi Delta Theta, where our chapter brought home the travelling trophy for the first time since its inception.

Just a couple weeks before finals, the chapter got together with one of our closest sororities, Alpha Chi Omega, for an evening of making dog toys for the local shelter, along with plenty of yard games an food as well.

We also had the awesome opportunity to invite brothers of years past back to Grand Forks for our first alumni formal in recent years, and as you read John’s article later on in this edition, you will find that it was quite the success.

All things considered, we at UND are finally getting close to the light at the end of the tunnel in terms of COVID and everyone in the chapter is ecstatic for a return to normal college life in the Fall.
