Just as the Open Visor was going to press, Brothers Dennis Hill ’86 and Doug Mark ’86 each offered matching gift challenges. Brother Hill will match on a 1-1 basis, up to a total of $50,000, any one-time gift or a pledge of up to five years made before July 1, 2022 from brothers who graduated 2000 to 2022. This is an amazing opportunity for our youngest alumni to leverage their giving and help fund the new house.
Brother Mark’s new match of $250,000 also will match on a 1-1 basis new and increased giving by July 1, 2022 from all DUs who graduated in the 1980s. This is the second time that Doug and his wife, Katie, have established a matching challenge. Their earlier challenge of $750,000 was exceeded by brothers from the 1980s in October 2021. Let’s meet both matches!!
Contributions and pledges of $5,000 and greater will be listed on a donor plaque in our new home. Any multi-year pledge, be it for $2,500 payable over five years, or $1,000 over five years, made before July 1, will qualify for the match until each is met. But you must act by July 1.
