Brothers of the ND Chapter of Delta Upsilon, When I came to UNO in 1984, I planned to join the same fraternity as my father. After visiting all the houses on campus during fall rush, I eventually found a place with like minds and pledged at Delta Upsilon. It ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. The experiences and friendships I developed at DU shaped and guided me as I matured into a young adult. The success I experienced in college and in my career is in large part due to the time spent as a member of our fraternity.
Thirty years later our current chapter house was in poor condition and membership was in decline. In the winter of 2019, a small group of chapter alumni got together, and we decided that our current home at 505 Princeton had served its purpose. For our fraternity to grow and succeed, a new chapter house was necessary.
The call went out to our in membership the middle of a global pandemic. The response from our alumni confirmed that my experience at DU was not unique. I was indeed a part of a strong fraternity and a true brotherhood.
A little over four years later we are dedicating a new chapter house that should last one hundred years. I, along with many other alumni, am committed to supporting the chapter financially and more importantly with my time.
My hope going forward is that all members will take advantage of the opportunities within the fraternity to develop and grow as individuals and leaders, be good mentors, and pass your knowledge and experience on to our new members. I am confident the North Dakota Chapter of Delta Upsilon will grow and prosper well into the next century.
Fraternally,
