As a Senior, I’ve had the unique opportunity to live in the old chapter house, 505, and the current new house, 421. Living in 421 has been an experience that I’m grateful for. My favorite part of 421 is being able to spend time with my brothers and have hosting power at 421 helps to create a warm welcoming environment that can foster those special memories.
I have fond memories from living in 505 and 421, however, our new house, 421, does a significantly better job, as when we first moved to a comfortable place for undergrads to spend time and enjoy our brotherhood with a new approach to living this location. Having a new chapter house has allowed our chapter with 50+ men strong, and our membership has grown to over 50. Having brothers and how have significantly grown. I’d be lying if I said the time between 505 and 421 was easy. But this experience convinced me all that does not stop us as a fraternity, but the brotherhood and shared principles.
I encourage the next generation of UND DUs to have the mindset that brotherhood comes first and to never take for granted the work and the dream that one day we will be a large and prosperous chapter.
