The celebration for the 50th Anniversary of the North Dakota Chapter of Delta Upsilon will take place November 4th to the 6th. The weekend’s events are open to all alumni and their families. Details of the events are below, or click here to register.
Friday November 4th
6:30-10:00 PM – We will be serving Hors D’oeuvres at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Grand Forks (formerly the Holiday Inn on Gateway). In addition to the Hors D’oeuvres, there will be a cash bar. This event will be a time for the alumni to socialize with one another and the active members in attendance.
Saturday November 5th
7:30-9:00 AM – There will be a Continental Breakfast at the Howard Johnson for any alumni staying at the hotel and any who wish to attend.
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM – The chapter house will be open all weekend for visits from alumni but this time is being set aside specifically for tours. Also at this time tours of the campus will be available. This event doesn’t require any formal registration, it is simply a time for the alumni in attendance.
1:00 PM – The University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux Football team faces off against the University of Sioux Falls Cougars. Tailgaiting will be available before hand in the Alerus Parking lot. A block of seating has been reserved for any alumni who wish to attend the football game.
6:00 PM – This evening marks the main event of the weekend, which will be hosted at A Touch of Magic in East Grand Forks. A schedule of events for the evening include a dinner, remarks from chapter alumni, the initiation ceremony of the newest members of our chapter with the charge of initiation being given by Delta Upsilon International President Dr. Bernard Franklin, and a pictorial history of the chapter. All of this will be followed by an evening of dancing and friendship.
Dinner will be a gourmet buffet, prepared by renowned Chef Dennis NarDane. The choices of entrees include a beef fillet, Chef NarDane’s famous meatballs, and a vegetable penne pasta. Dinner will be served with a California style salad, a meatless pasta salad, green beans sauteed with cashews, and garlic mashed potatoes. For dessert we will be serving a mountain layer cake.
Sunday November 6th
7:30-9:00 AM – We will again be serving a Continental Breakfast at the Howard Johnson for any alumni staying at the hotel and any who wish to attend.

To register for any of the weekend’s events click here. It will take you to the registration page where you can select how many guests you are registering to attend each event. After your registration is complete, a confirmation email will be sent.

Hotel Reservations can be made at the Howard Johnson of Grand Forks. The telephone number is 701-772-7131. There is a block of rooms reserved for alumni attending this event. A discounted rate of $99/night is available through the 6th of October. After that date the rate increases to $119/night.
